As part of its commitment to being a socially responsible organisation, MIBL has decided to support the “Nanhi Kali” Project. Nanhi Kali is a special project jointly managed by the K.C. Mahindra Education Trust and the Naandi Foundation, aimed at providing primary education to the underprivileged girl child in India. India has always had a history of discrimination against the girl child. She is considered a liability and an economic burden to the family. Therefore, female children are often neglected forcing them to become victims of exploitation at a very early age. It is only through education that the girl child can arm herself to be independent and self-reliant, and hence have a fighting chance in life.
